Through our physical space, quarterly publication, and weekly podcast — Junior High is dedicated to showcasing the artistic pursuits of marginalized voices. We believe that radical empathy will save the world.
Junior High is a physical space located at: 5656 Hollywood Boulevard | Los Angeles, California 90028.
We host open gallery/shop hours every weekend from 12-6pm.
Our events are community-booked and promote the pursuits of women, POC, and queer artists.
“After School Special” is a new Podcast from the Junior High family.
Intended to be an extension of Junior High programming, each episode features a new guest who comes to teach our hosts —Erika and Faye— something new. Episodes release Fridays after school, with the 4th Friday of each month being a Patreon-only episode accessible to all Junior High members. Find “After School Special” anywhere you find Podcasts.
Jr Hi the Magazine is a quarterly publication featuring conversations with and conducted by artists and activists. We aim to showcase underserved perspectives on the narratives of feminism, creativity, and survival. Issues can be bought individually or sent via subscription though a Junior High Membership.
Junior High has partnered with Patreon to offer Memberships featuring different tiers of support to suit you financially. Your membership helps us pay rent and monthly expenses. It also makes us feel warm and loved, which can’t be overstated :,)
In partnership with Staunchly by Carolyn Seuthe, we have a weekly Newsletter: The Tiny Staunch. Stay up to date on all things Junior High, political thots, deep reads, and our own crippling anxieties.
