Collective Grief and Creative Storytelling: Writing Workshop

  • Junior High, Incorporated 603 South Brand Boulevard Glendale, CA, 91204 United States (map)

WORKSHOP | $20 | ALL AGES | Join us for an evening of creative storytelling and community-based writing prompts exploring loss, rage, collective grief, and world-building. This workshop is facilitated by Hailey Reyes, a Houston and LA-based archivist and writer whose work centers immigrant memory, storytelling, and healing through community practice.

This is a loosely guided, beginner-friendly writing workshop—no writing experience necessary. Attendees will be led through prompts, reflection, and optional sharing to help process emotion, imagine safer futures, and connect through collective storytelling. All materials are included.

Being together and creating in community is one of our strongest practices for healing and understanding.

COVID-19 vaccinations are highly recommended to attend events at Junior High. Learn more here.

This event will be indoors.
