Unpacking Antisemitism | A Workshop with IfNotNow LA

  • Junior High, Incorporated 603 South Brand Boulevard Glendale, CA, 91204 United States (map)

WORKSHOP | FREE | ALL AGES | Join IfNotNow LA in learning about Systemic Antisemitism. This is a biiig topic; we’ll dive into it with community, friends, (snacks!) and a clear goal.

Why talk about antisemitism? We need to understand systemic antisemitism in order to help the Jewish community – and the broader progressive movement – get ‘un-confused’ about antisemitism & Israel/Palestine, and have an alternative vision for Jewish safety. Join us in understanding how fighting for Palestinian rights, and against antisemitism, are not at odds with each other – in fact, they go hand in hand!

Our analysis of antisemitism comes from decades of work from scholars and organizations including the Diaspora Alliance, JFREJ’s Understanding Antisemitism Guide, April Rosenblum, Cherie Brown (National Coalition Building Institute), Ben Lorber and Aidan Orly (Political Research Associates), Eric Ward (Western States Center and Southern Poverty Law Center), and others.

This workshop is free and open to all (Jewish people + allies!), and facilitated by IfNotNow LA volunteer organizers.

RSVP here.

IfNotNow is building a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-generational, cross-class movement of American Jews organizing our community to end U.S. support for Israel's apartheid system and demand equality, justice, and a thriving future for all Palestinians and Israelis. We are fighting for a vision of Jewish liberation: where our safety relies on the safety & well-being of all others. Check out IfNotNow LA’s instagram here, and read more about our movement here.
