MUSIC | $15 | ALL AGES | Singer-songwriter Maria Weissman is as honest in her music as she is vulnerable and fearless. Her versatile voice keeps listeners intrigued, as her songs unravel like expressive poems that tell stories. Her debut EP Bad has been described as “musical meets indie songwriting meets rock n roll and jazz.”

LA indie rock band the Lavender Scare charms listeners with a sense of both tenderness and urgency. Amidst dark, atmospheric guitars and beds of synths, their songs are a downpour of melancholy infused with bright, catchy melodies recalling bands like the National and Radiohead. Singer James Delos Reyes pulls from his personal upbringing, navigating listeners through provocative queer lyrics emblazoned with irreligous sentiments. In the end, the music speaks for itself. Even fundamentalists will secretly be tapping their toes while shaking their fists.

Kat Hamilton is a west-coast singer, songwriter and performer. Hamilton has had the career trajectory of a chameleon; lending her talents to pop-punk, emo, r&b, hip-hop, pop, and country. After graduating Berklee College of Music, Hamilton went on to tour nationally and internationally, record three studio albums and perform at SXSW.
