WORKSHOP |$20 | 18+ | Eileen is a mindfulness meditation teacher with 15 years of teaching experience. Her teaching is grounded in a commitment to making meditation approachable and relevant to everyday life.
Eileen brings both traditional mindfulness teachings and
evidence-based practices to her work. She has completed the
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Foundations program through Brown University. She is a Chicana, a WOC, and dedicated to social justice.

Clay Date! | Wake n Bake Mugs with Sebastian Montes-Schiff
GUEST ARTIST WORKSHOP | $75 | AGES 21+ | Are you a fan of coffee and cannabis? Do you love to wake and bake? Come learn to make your very own wake and bake mug in this beginner friendly ceramics workshop led by Sebastian Montes-Schiff. We will be using hand building techniques to make a coffee mug that incorporates a tunnel that allows you to sip your coffee and smoke your joint from the same hand!
Great for those who are looking for access to ceramics, clay friends, or sharpening your skill set! No experience necessary. No reservations necessary to attend Clay Date. You are welcome to purchase your ticket ahead of time or at the door day-of the event.
Price of admission also pays for one firing of class work. Option to return to paint your class work at a later Clay Date (additional class/firing is not included) or to opt in for a clear glaze (no additional cost). Students will be notified via email to pick up their fired pieces 4-6 weeks after the class. Student work will be food safe and ready to use upon pick-up. Just Use Your Hands is a workshop combining collage, stencils, and your own imagination to make one of a kind flyers. Learn tips and tricks to make your flyer stand out and meet some other local organizers at the same time!

WORKSHOP | PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN | AGES 12+ | Walk in at your leisure between 6-9pm for 2hr access to 2 lbs of clay and tools to make your own ceramic sculptures. Join instructor Chelsie Rivera (@la_rosebud ) for loosely guided hand building practice.
Attendees of Healing With Clay will choose their price of admission upon arrival, on the scale of $0-25. Option to pay $10 to fire your art work at the end of the 2hr session. Dance Music Dance Music
PERFORMANCE | $12 | ALL AGES | Have you already seen all the experimental art shows LA has to offer? DMDM is a hip new performance format collaging contemporary dance with short indie music sets. The show will involve inspired improvisation, fancy rolling on the floor, killer harmonies, and a whole lot of new-fangled fun.
DMDM is curated by Emma Ivy, a dancer and musician studying the strange, the soft, and the surreal. In 2025, she developed a solo dance-music work ‘Brooklyn Gothic’ in residency at the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage in The Bronx which premiered at the Under St. Marks Theater in NYC. She is currently performing the role of Pythia in Eternal Research’s ‘Rite of the Oracle’ tour and developing her own music project Dear Mina.

Halloween Indie Fest
HALLOWEEN INDIE FEST| $8 PRE // $10 DOS | ALL AGES | Looking for a ROCKIN’ Halloween show with indie bands and vendors? Enjoy a night of local artists, clothing/jewelry artists, and a costume contest at Junior High on October 24th!
MEET THE BANDS!
Bugkid is a 22-year-old indie artist from Orange County, California, now based in Los Angeles. Her music focuses on love, heartbreak, growing up, and the emotions that come with being in your 20s.
Sunré is an indie psychedelic rock band fronted by 20 something year old’s Evie Goodwin and Olivia Garcia. With gorgeous vocal harmonies and somber guitar riffs, their performances are a thought-provoking treat for the ear.
Velcro Wallets are a 4-piece outlet based in Rancho Cucamonga, consisting of lead vocalist/bassist Damien Garcia, vocalist/guitarist Cedric McBride, keyboardist Ricky King, and drummer Rhyne Suay. Each member comes from an individual background that nicely clashes yet meshes with the other, helping to create an eclectic blend of jazz, punk, and alternative genres alike.
Hosted by Skylar Solace, a 19-year old musician whose aim is to bring her songs to a community of artists and music-enjoyers. For a rocking night, come to Junior High on October 24th at 6:30!

Not ready to wriggle with the worms? Sort seeds for our free seed library and learn about Southern California native plants. Whether you’ve got a green thumb or you’re just looking for tips on caring for your first house plant, Club Gay Gardens is the perfect space for the environmentally conscious and eco curious.
We highly recommend bringing sun protection (hats, SPF, sunglasses) and your own water bottle + snacks.

Body Practice | October
WELLNESS | $20 | ALL AGES + SKILL LEVELS | Are you interested in somatics, but not sure where to start? BODY PRACTICE is a monthly community space to come together and practice being in a body. Each two hour workshop is led by hannah rubin (they/them) of slow body somatics, and is grounded in body-based learning and guided somatic practices that support nervous system health, relational connection, and feeling our bodies in present time. Together we will practice therapeutic body-centered approaches to healing and body-mind-spirit connection. All bodies, genders, levels, and ages are welcome! Bring friends!
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring any extra layers that might support you in being warm and cozy. Bring your own yoga mat.

In THE NOSTALGIC FUTURES BOOK CLUB — facilitated by Xueyou Wang (she/they) & Ray Carroll (they/them) — we explore a variety of literature — fiction, poetry, theory, memoir, and more — that asks us what part of our collective histories are worth carrying forward, and what change is required for a liberated future.

Yaoi Homunculus: Operations of the Fujoshi to Transmasculine Pipeline
COMMUNITY | PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN | 18+ | Hua Chai (they/he) is a maker and educator of queer games, interactive archives, and computer simulations. They developed their MFA thesis on “The Yaoi Homunculus”, a speculative alchemical study of the fujoshi-to-transmasculine pipeline using game engines, sex toys, boys’ love comics, and performance rituals. Fabric Journal Workshop
WORKSHOP | $45 | ALL AGES | Have you been needing a new method of journaling and/or self expression? Need to release all that tension in your body from dealing with LA traffic and our current state of the world? Come learn how to build a fabric journal and take out all that energy with a needle and thread. You don't need to know how to sew or embroider, come as you are, even as a beginner. You'll learn simple embroidery methods, craft a personal fabric journal using materials provided, learn how to utilize the journal to nurture your creative expression, freeform stitch as we have a slow stitching session, and learning how to let go of restrictive thinking in art and craft. There will be non-stitch ritual activities to express yourself through, plus tasty beverages and snacks to energize yourself for the night.
The class will be taught by Malina Syvoravong (she/her), an LA-based multimedia artist whos probably worked every job under the sun, including teaching art to children. Her educational background is in oil painting and printmaking (woodcut and linocuts) but in her professional life, she focuses on the culinary arts and works as a commercial food stylist. In her personal life, she's a professional hobbyist (her ADHD loves picking up a new hobby every few months, a multipotentialite!). She loves being silly, resourceful and scrappy when it comes to making her personal art. She enjoys teaching others new techniques and concepts in the arts and believes everyone has the potential to be creative and make personally fulfilling works of art.

What It Meant To ME: A Benefit for RAINN
MUSIC | $15 PRE // $20 DOS | 18+ | This night of music marks the release of gracyn blu’s debut EP titled "is this...?" while supporting survivors of sexual assault, with all ticket proceeds donated directly to RAINN. The event brings together a community of musicians, artists, and friends to support survivors and raise awareness around sexual violence.
Finding herself struggling to celebrate the release of a two-year-long project while navigating her own healing, Gracyn reached out to her community for help, and the show grew into something much bigger. With the support of fellow artists and friends, this night will be an opportunity to transform darkness into light.
Performances will span a variety of genres and feature local artists, including a special performance by a treble choir. The evening is both a celebration and an act of community care: a space to come together, enjoy music, support one another, and raise funds for RAINN.

Exhibition Opening | Divine Circuits
GALLERY | $5-10 SUGGESTED DONATION | ALL AGES | Divine Circuits is a solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist Jessica Morales, also known online as evilfaery, which explores the evolving relationship between humanity, technology, and the sacred. Through the blend of religious iconography, circuitry, and industrial materials, the exhibition examines how technological advancement has transformed contemporary systems of belief, devotion, and identity. Drawing parallels between ancient forms of worship and modern technological dependence, Morales questions whether humanity has created a new object of reverence in its pursuit of innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital immortality.
Developed over the course of two years, Divine Circuits reflects on complexities, a pivotal moment when seemingly disconnected systems begin to organize into intricate, interconnected structures. Through stained glass, solder, cyanotype, repurposed printed circuit boards (PCBs), and silver and tin figurines, Morales constructs a visual dialogue between the spiritual and mechanical. The exhibition invites viewers to consider a future in which technology no longer simply serves humanity but increasingly shapes what humanity believes, values, and worships.
Jessica Morales is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersections of spirituality, technology, cultural symbolism, and the human condition. Working across mixed media and assemblage, Morales incorporates unconventional materials such as solder, stained glass, cyanotype, repurposed printed circuit boards (PCBs), and silver and tin figurines to investigate the relationship between traditional forms of devotion and contemporary technological advancement. Her work draws upon the visual language of religious iconography, reimagining sacred imagery through industrial and electronic materials to question the evolving boundaries between the natural, artificial, and divine.
Over the past two years, Morales has developed a body of work that examines humanity's growing dependence on technology and its emergence as a modern form of worship. Her practice seeks to transform discarded technological materials into objects of contemplation, challenging viewers to reconsider what society preserves, what it discards, and what it chooses to revere.
Divine Circuits will be on view through November 29th, 2026.

A Night of Revival with Emma Zeck
MUSIC | $10 | 18+ | Emma Zeck is a Southern Gothic songwriter, poet, photographer, and performer out of Austin, Texas. Her work is about resurrecting the exiled feminine: the parts of womanhood we were told are too much, not clean enough, too scary, or too honest, dragging them back into the room and giving them a stage, a mic, and a voice. Her debut poetry collection, Everything Is Beautiful and I Want to Die, was released in 2026 through Kickstarter. 3 new singles are set for next year, starting in January, to debut her forthcoming record.
Joining her on the lineup are local LA musicians CharlesBlack and Xion Ra.

Divine Blues
WORKSHOP | $10 | 16+ | Divine Blues will be a cyanotype workshop where participants create divination card-inspired prints that utilize imagery from Black American culture. Participants will learn the process of this near 200-year-old alternative photography method, which uses UV rays to develop monochromatic blue prints. Divine Blues will be taught by artist, educator, and cultural worker, Qiaira Riley (@thegoodhoodwitch), who has been working in socially-engaged cyanotype practices since 2019. Nodding to tarot, oracle decks, and playing cards, we will cut and arrange digital negatives to collage our own personalized prints.

Armenian Needlelace Fundraiser for Artsakh
WORKSHOP | $30 | ALL AGES | Join us for a beginners workshop on Janyak, Armenian needlelace. Proceeds will be going to the Artsakh fund, particularly as they launch the Marash Embroidery training program. Like many of the Artsakh Fund’s initiatives, this program was created to empower displaced women in Artsakh with practical skills and an opportunity to materially reconnect with their culture. Created with simply a needle and thread, Janyak has been preserved by many generations of Armenians even through separation and displacement. Come learn basic stitches and principles of this ancestral craft, and leave with an adorned handkerchief and material to continue practicing. All are welcome, no experience necessary; new and returning stitchers encouraged to attend!

Blue
MUSIC | PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN | 18+ | Sometimes the fragments make more sense than the line. BLUE, the first collaboration of SOUL (Saunders/Outlaw/Udoh/Lyons), is a genre-bending new work of devised performance re-embodying queer legacies of blues music through music, storytelling and improvisation. We will look to buried blues heroes of the past—including queer and queer-presumed pioneers like Elvie “L.V.” Thomas (1891-1979) and Geechie Wiley (1908-1950), Tony Jackson (1882-1921), Bessie Smith (1892-1937), and Billy Wright (1932-1991)—as we fashion a new blues for the 21st century in real time.
Where is our anguish, where are our desires and pleasures that threaten and repulse, where is the joy that somehow grows in inverse proportion to frustration and fear? By inhabiting and breaking the form of the blues, this work will locate collective feeling in twelve bars and beyond. It’s a song of survival. A song for those whose stories can’t be finished.
Currently in development, Blue takes the form of a blues concert and will combine the direct testimony of the artists’ lives (in the form of concert “patter”) and the fictional narratives that bloom from them in the form of experimental, cross-genre songs. Songs that begin with deep blues twist out of the blues tradition to take on new forms that reflect what the queer ghosts of the hidden blues past have become in a new queer millennium. Unnameable identities that found form in the blues become, in this piece, what no one could have imagined.

GUEST ARTIST WORKSHOP | CANCELLED | AGES 16+ | In this workshop, students will use pinch pot hand building and sculpting techniques, and extra tools provided by the instructor to create your own mini furbies. These can be functional as a bud vase, incense holder, pipe, or just a little guy that watches over you while you sleep.
Angelica is a ceramic artist and instructor from AZ, based in LA. She focuses her pieces on 90s and Y2K pop culture with influences from her Mexican America/Latinx background.

WORKSHOP | $25 | AGES 12+ | Walk in at your leisure between 6-9pm for 2hr access to 12 brightly colored glazes to decorate your own ceramic sculptures led by instructor Chelsie Rivera (@la_rosebud ).
Students may return to glaze their previously made class pieces AND/OR purchase new pots to glaze. Chose from pots that are made from slip cast molds ($5-15 each), or you can pick-a-pot from our graveyard of left behind class pots of fun and silly shapes ($3-5 each). Our bisqueware collection includes “vans” slip-on shoes, high heel, wax candle warmer, wine goblet, basic cup, ash tray, hangable planter pot, and square or circular tiles (good for coasters or magnets)!

Dance + Clown for Grief
WORKSHOP | $18 PRE // $20 DOS | 18+ | Dance + Clown for Grief is a place to explore the intersection of the sacred and the silly. It reminds us to return to our bodies, offers us alternative ways to approach our grief, and allows our grief to process and move through our bodies while in community. We do this TOGETHER! This workshop offers participants different kinds of movement to explore, gives us permission to both laugh and cry, opens opportunity to share our grief with each other, and creates space to experiment with our grieving processes.
Join us for breath and body work, silly games, serious clown exercises, and some community care.
Carmen Nikae is a clown and teaching artist with 15+ years performing and teaching. She holds a degree in education and a masters in acting and has been a certified personal trainer. She does not have training the counseling or therapy but in CLOWN. Clown invites us into Simple Presence and reminds us of our own ridiculousness. Clown is an expert who knows nothing and calls us into our vulnerability in order to build resilience. This workshop is not therapy but rather a creative outlet to explore our shared humanity. Clay Date! | Make Your Own Candelabra
GUEST ARTIST WORKSHOP | $35 | AGES 16+ | Join resident Clay Artist, Chelsie Rivera, for this hands-on beginner ceramic workshop. Students will learn how to build the challenging form of Candelabras, which is a multi-branched candle holder that can be used to decorate and illuminate a home table scape. Bring intention to the fall season with this specialty workshop!

Body Practice | September
WELLNESS | $20 | ALL AGES + SKILL LEVELS | Are you interested in somatics, but not sure where to start? BODY PRACTICE is a monthly community space to come together and practice being in a body. Each two hour workshop is led by hannah rubin (they/them) of slow body somatics, and is grounded in body-based learning and guided somatic practices that support nervous system health, relational connection, and feeling our bodies in present time. Together we will practice therapeutic body-centered approaches to healing and body-mind-spirit connection. All bodies, genders, levels, and ages are welcome! Bring friends!
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring any extra layers that might support you in being warm and cozy. Bring your own yoga mat.

Embroider Your Own Sexy Cowfolk

Embroidery artist Jamie Maloney will show you how to decorate already printed fabric of cowboys and cowgirls with tattoos, fringe and the duds they deserve. She’ll offer guidance for ditching the binary with a few well-placed stitches, too. Yee-haw!

Creative Practice: A Legal Salon for Artists
COMMUNITY | LIMITED RSVP REQUIRED | 21+ | Inspired by the long tradition of the salon as a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, Creative Practice is an informal gathering hosted by California Lawyers for the Arts centered on the realities of building and sustaining an artistic life. The vitality of artistic practice depends not only on creative vision, but on access to knowledge, supportive infrastructures, and communities of care. This salon creates space for conversation around the legal, professional, and everyday realities of making art while encouraging solidarity, shared learning, and collective inquiry.
Artists of all disciplines are welcome. We especially encourage BIPOC artists, LGBTQIA2S+ artists, immigrant artists, disabled artists, emerging creatives, and others who have historically faced barriers to legal and professional support to join us. Bring a question (or simply your curiosity) and join an afternoon of dialogue exploring the legal, social, and material conditions of creative life while learning about the resources available through California Lawyers for the Arts and a broader community of advocates, attorneys, and activists.

WORKSHOP | FREE | ALL AGES | Come get your hands dirty caring for native plants in the Junior High garden! Our besties Maggie Smart-McCabe and Linnea Torres lead a workshop/volunteer session actively tending to our Native Garden on the last Sunday of every month.
Not ready to wriggle with the worms? Sort seeds for our free seed library and learn about Southern California native plants. Whether you’ve got a green thumb or you’re just looking for tips on caring for your first house plant, Club Gay Gardens is the perfect space for the environmentally conscious and eco curious.
We highly recommend bringing sun protection (hats, SPF, sunglasses) and your own water bottle + snacks.

WORKSHOP | SUGGESTED $5-10 DONATION | ALL AGES | Join Jr Hi buds Chelsie and Eden in this monthly fiber arts meet up to practice your textile skills! Whether you prefer crocheting, knitting, sewing, or have never picked up a needle (or hook) — all are welcome! The Sew Silly Crafting Circle will be full of puns and decompressing from the work week. This is the place to bring that WIP collecting dust in your craft basket. Bring a project or come empty handed — we will have some yarn and hooks to help inspire you to create something new!
Interested in sewing or quilting? Chelsie is spearheading a new Junior High commemorative project. Participants can memorialize their contribution each month by working on this exciting new community project!
This club is for people of all skill levels. Chelsie and Eden are just as excited to be teaching what they know as well as learning new skills from the talented members of the Junior High community. as there will be space for learning, teaching, and/or just existing. Paint Night | Clay Date!
WORKSHOP | $25 | AGES 12+ | Walk in at your leisure between 6-9pm for 2hr access to 12 brightly colored glazes to decorate your own ceramic sculptures led by instructor Chelsie Rivera (@la_rosebud ).
Students may return to glaze their previously made class pieces AND/OR purchase new pots to glaze. Choose from pots that are made from slip cast molds ($5-15 each), or you can pick-a-pot from our graveyard of left behind class pots of fun and silly shapes ($3-5 each). Our bisqueware collection includes “vans” slip-on shoes, high heel, wax candle warmer, wine goblet, basic cup, ash tray, hangable planter pot, and square or circular tiles (good for coasters or magnets)!

Exhibition Opening | Stampede by Christina Joseph
GALLERY | $5-10 SUGGESTED DONATION | ALL AGES | Stampede was a term first coined in an 1847 Cincinnati newspaper to describe mass escapes of enslaved people from the American South. The “Grand Stampede” marked a critical period in America’s metamorphosis, right before the Civil War, when the country was brought to its knees in reckoning.
Stampede is a visual survey of the ever-moving kaleidoscope of systems of labor, building, and destruction. Artist Christina Joseph created this body of work inspired by her research on the Underground Railroad in and around her family’s inn in Maysville, Kentucky. From this research, emerged a clearly sophisticated network written into the walls, basements, and crawl spaces illuminating the stories that are stitched together through ancestral whispers, lore, and corrupted nineteenth-century documents. Stampede considers the force of movement that hinges on the power of mass necessary to initiate the momentum. The work examines the systems we run from, the systems we build, and the spaces of ambiguity that exist between them. Lest we forget.
Christina Joseph was born in Los Angeles, October of 1990. She grew up in Southern California studying painting and drawing from a young age. She attended college at Maryland Institute College of Art where she learned ceramics, performance art, and installation. She graduated in 2012 with a BFA in sculpture with concentrations in ceramics and curatorial studies. After graduating, Christina became involved in the art scene in Baltimore both with local galleries and community outreach. For years after graduating college, Joseph focused primarily on her performative works, performing at Baltimore’s Light City, Fields Fest, and other local galleries and events. Joseph moved back to Los Angeles in 2017 and works primarily with ceramics to address themes of identity, history, beauty, and labor. Joseph is currently pursuing her MFA from UC Irvine.
