junior high’s Native garden
Junior high is currently home to a native garden featuring 20 species of flora particular to southern california.
This project is spearheaded by Kara Vorabutr, graciously made possible by Artemisia Nursery, and tended to by Maggie Smart-McCabe and Linnea Torres.
Club Gay Gardens is a collective of queer volunteers who transformed the parkway in front of Junior High into a native habitat garden. We have been meeting monthly on the last Sunday of the month from 10 am-noon since 2022. Donate to our ongoing projects and help us maintain our beautiful parkway that supports local queers and biodiversity alike!
