MUSIC | $18 | ALL AGES | META PHYSICA is a label + art collective focused on the healing force of self-expression & communal growth in relation to the spiritual journey, fostered by the practice of music & visual arts shaped by the sentiments of ethereality, metaphysics, and transcendental form beyond the limitations of the 3D space.

“melencolia i” is a celebration of META PHYSICA’s latest mixtape by Meishi Smile, an emotive electronic project founded by producer Faye. Since 2014, Meishi Smile has gone from utilizing vocoded vocals & maximalist trance, to harsh noise & sentimental electronic mannerisms, being labeled as a pioneer of the hyperpop genre. With their 2021 release “Ressentiment,” Meishi Smile took their sound towards more industrial and metal influences, expanding into a 4-piece.

Meishi Smile will be performing a stripped down solo set accompanied by ZORA on piano and Calendula on vocals exclusively for this show. Joining the lineup will also be an eclectic mix of ambient and emo-tinged electronics by Alex Esk, Isaac Solo, and making their LA debut - Kenneth Takanami.
