WORKSHOP | $8 / $10 DOS | ALL AGES | Poetry can be one of the most effective tools for excavation of both personal and generational histories. In this class, we will closely examine dg nanouk okpik’s poem A Year Dot as a sample poem and discuss the presence and absence in the poem and how it creates the effect of a haunting. Bring a poem to workshop, ideally one centering around absence, grief, haunting, or literal ghosts. There will also be time at the end to generate and share new work in response to a prompt.
