WORKSHOP | Free | ALL AGES | The Kids Next Door are hosting a free workshop for artists on Friday, May 4th with facilitated discussions about creating/curating, marketing yourself and your art, making a career out of your passions, and navigating identity, oppression, resistance, mental health, and coping.

Cinco de mayo is the day Mexico won an unlikely battle against France at the Battle of Puebla—NOT Mexican Independence Day. It is not celebrated in Mexican culture, but non-Latinx people have turned the cinco de mayo into a day of stereotyping and belittling our heritage. We want our community to have an opportunity to change that dynamic and instead, celebrate our existence.
