Strike! Women’s Struggle for a Working Class LA

Strike.jpg

PANEL | FREE | ALL AGES | International Working Women's Day is March 8th! After the International Women's Strike in downtown Los Angeles, join the DSA-LA Labor Committee for a panel and discussion about the current landscape of the labor movement in Los Angeles. After the march ends at 7PM, we'll be traveling from  downtown to the Hollywood/Western metro stop and walk to Junior High together!

Labor organizers from traditionally feminized sectors-- education, hospitality, health care--- will join us to discuss recent successful unionizing efforts in Los Angeles. Their contributions will help us begin to consider how working women can organize and build power on the job and in their communities.

Join us for an exciting evening of education and conversation! The event is free and open to the public.
