SCREENING | $10 | 18+ | “Casting the Revolution” is a collection of short films from director Chanelle Tyson, interconnected in an incisive and poetic fashion and exploring the question of “what is our role in the revolution?”
Through contemplation and humor, the films explore a myriad of feelings and reactions to the state of the world - spanning from Trump’s election in 2016, through the COVID pandemic, and into present day - while examining the value of connection, community and direct action as a response.
Chanelle Tyson is an award-winning queer, black filmmaker, whose most recent work was featured in the 2024 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum in New York City.
