ART OPENING | $5 SUGGESTED DONATION | ALL AGES | For two decades, Los Angeles-based photographer Alexandra Kacha’s work has drawn from retro aesthetics while cultivating a sense of contemporary empowerment. Operating largely in the realm of lifestyle photography — from boudoir to concert hall — Kacha's body of work is hazy and captivating.
Through their non-binary gaze, Kacha lends a perspective to sex-positive imagery that directly challenges what we so often see in heteronormative media. “Depth of Flesh” showcases Kacha’s acclaimed style — both carnal and ethereal — in their first ever solo exhibition. Peering through a glass lens, Kacha documents a myriads of skin. This collection explores a softness within queer subculture, Catholicism, bodies, and flesh.
