That’s right y’all, I’m doin’ the big chop… Feeling all the feels and baking about it! We are so lucky to be popping up at @juniorhighla on Sunday 4/20, 12-4pm to raise funds by slingin’ hot cross buns!
Been working on these buns year after year in my decade long (when the heck did that happen) baking run, and this year they’re fluffier and more decadent than ever before.
Cardamon milk bread! Candied citrus! Sour cherries! Persian green raisins! That ultra classic spiced cross in the bake! Finished with a vanilla and orange blossom glaze that sets. Them. Off!
All the profits will be going towards my medical expenses and post-op care. If you’re able to get some buns, or even just stop by and say hey, it’d really mean the world. And pleeeease, if you know anyone in LA who loves good bread, share this post!
It’s not lost on me that community, new and old, got me here- on the baking side AND on the coming-into-myself side. I am filled with gratitude to the people in my life who have embraced me and lifted me up into this moment. Being and baking- the simple things that make life worth living! So already, before any buns are sold, I owe many of you a HUGE thank you.
