PARTY | FREE | ALL AGES | We are hosting a screening at the Glendale Laemmle of the incendiary, newly released thriller from NEON: How to Blow Up a Pipeline. Bring all your revolutionary besties! There will be a Q+A with cast and crew after the screening and then, we’ll walk back to Junior High for an afterparty! Drink our Junior High x How to Blow Up a Pipeline cocktails and meet the filmmakers.

A crew of young environmental activists execute a daring mission to sabotage an oil pipeline in this taut and timely thriller that is part high-stakes heist, part radical exploration of the climate crisis.

How to Blow Up a Pipeline is an apocalyptic Western. It uses striking images of dystopian fossil fuel infrastructure to make concrete the noxious forces our characters have set out to destroy. Though the film is adapted from a radical manifesto, it is also a portrait of a generation that feels like it has no future, that knows more drastic action must be taken to prevent a climate cataclysm. The film seeks to empathize with their action, to place it in an historical context of revolution and revolt, and to call for cooperation so that we can preserve our ability to survive on this planet.

This event will be indoors.
