SCREENING | $8 | ALL AGES | The Daughters They Were is an evening of short films by writer/director Song Hà. In her words, all mothers are the little girls they once were, raising themselves as they raise daughters of their own. Drawing from her experience as a transgender daughter to a refugee mother, she excavates her desperation to give birth. Does becoming a mother validate one’s womanhood? How do we belong to one another without ownership? Join us for an evening of short films and conversation.
