Throat Coat - A Vocal Workshop for Queer, Trans & Nonbinary Voices

  • Junior High, Incorporated 603 South Brand Boulevard Glendale, CA, 91204 United States (map)

WORKSHOP | $25 | ALL AGES | A vocal exploration workshop for QTNB people interested in accessing a more embodied and confident relationship to their speaking and/or singing voice. We will go over basic vocal anatomy, breath work, and get into a variety of playful exercises to experiment with sound.  Whether you consider yourself a singer, are shifting your voice to match your gender presentation, use your voice at actions/public speaking events or just want to learn a new skill, you will be able to apply these techniques to your everyday experience. Participants will leave the class with a goodie bag of support for the voice, including a handmade zine of techniques and resources.

About the Instructor: Rhea has been performing and recording music in Los Angeles for the last 17 years in styles ranging from; jazz, choral harmonies, punk, ASMR, audio drama/voiceover & experimental noise.
